Standard carbon film resistors with axial leads for PTH (Pin to Hole) installations. Carbon Film resistors are suitable for general use in electronics and electrical engineering. They consist of a ceramic support coated with carbon using specific high-temperature production processes. The desired resistive value is obtained by controlled removal of part of the previously deposited coating, creating a "spiral" path along the resistor body. This type of resistor is therefore not recommended for high-frequency applications, for which specific non-inductive resistors are advisable. The resistor body is covered with epoxy resin, which preserves its electrical and mechanical characteristics.
